# Google Ads Suspension Case Study: How We Helped a Courier Business Restore Its Advertising Account

Google Ads suspension can become a serious problem for a business that depends on online enquiries and phone calls.

Recently, we worked with a courier service business whose Google Ads account had been suspended. The business had already invested time and money in its website, branding, domain, advertising setup and business presence.

The challenge was not simply to create another Google Ads account.

We needed to understand why the account was suspended, review the complete advertising setup, identify potential compliance issues and make the necessary corrections.

This blog explains how we approached the case.

About the Client

The client operates a courier and logistics service business serving customers in its local area as well as customers looking for domestic and international courier services.

For privacy reasons, we are not publishing the client's real business name, domain or exact address in this case study.

The business had created a website using a domain connected with its location and business identity.

For example

  • Business location → XYZ Street, XYZ City

Website domain → XYZ.com

The business had also developed branding around its courier services and was dealing with multiple well-known multinational courier and logistics companies.

The website included courier-related services, branding elements, company information and enquiry options.

Everything appeared to be set up for running Google Ads and generating customer enquiries.

Then the Google Ads account was suspended.

The Problem: Google Ads Account Suspension

The client approached us after noticing that the Google Ads account was no longer able to run advertisements.

The suspension created an immediate business problem.

The business depended on Google searches to generate enquiries from people looking for courier services.

Without an active advertising account, potential customers could no longer reach the business through its paid search campaigns.

The first step was not to create another account.

The first step was to understand the suspension.

Why We Did Not Create a New Google Ads Account

When an account is suspended, one common mistake is to create a new account and start advertising again.

That is not the approach we wanted to take.

If the original account has a policy issue, simply creating another account does not solve the underlying problem.

Instead, we decided to investigate the existing setup.

Our approach was

Understand → Audit → Identify → Fix → Review → Appeal

Step 1: We Reviewed the Google Ads Account

We started by reviewing the available information inside the Google Ads account.

We looked at

  • Suspension notification
  • Account history
  • Campaign structure
  • Advertisements
  • Keywords
  • Landing pages
  • Destination URLs
  • Previous policy issues
  • Account information
  • Advertising history

The objective was to understand whether there were any account-level or advertising issues that needed attention.

Step 2: We Audited the Website

The website was an important part of the investigation.

The client had built the website specifically for the courier business and had invested in its branding.

We reviewed the website from the perspective of both a customer and an advertising platform.

We checked

  • Homepage
  • Service pages
  • Contact information
  • Business information
  • About Us page
  • Courier service details
  • Enquiry forms
  • Phone numbers
  • Website navigation
  • Privacy Policy
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Landing pages
  • Destination URLs

We wanted to make sure the website clearly represented the actual business and the services being advertised.

Step 3: We Reviewed the Domain

The domain was another important part of the investigation.

The client had selected a domain connected with the business location.

For example

  • Business location → XYZ Street, XYZ City

Domain → XYZ.com

A domain itself is not automatically a reason for Google Ads suspension.

However, when investigating a suspended account, it is important to understand how the domain, business identity and website are connected.

We reviewed the domain and its relationship with the business website and advertising setup.

Step 4: We Reviewed the Business Branding

The client was also dealing with multiple MNC courier and logistics companies.

Because of this, the website contained branding and references related to the courier services offered by the business.

We carefully reviewed how these brands were represented on the website.

The important question was

Does the website clearly communicate the actual relationship between the courier business and the brands or services it offers?

This is an important distinction.

A business should not present itself as an official branch, subsidiary or owner of another company unless that relationship is genuine and accurately represented.

We reviewed the branding and website content to make sure the business representation was clear.

Step 5: We Reviewed the Customer Journey

We also looked at the complete journey a potential customer would take.

For example

  • Google Search
  • ↓
  • Google Advertisement
  • ↓
  • Landing Page
  • ↓
  • Courier Service Information
  • ↓

Contact / Call / Enquiry

We checked whether the destination URLs were working correctly and whether customers were reaching the expected website pages.

This helped us identify areas that needed improvement before moving forward with the advertising account.

Step 6: We Reviewed the Website Information

A professional business website should clearly explain who operates the business and how customers can contact it.

We reviewed the available business information and checked whether important information was consistent across the website.

This included

  • Business name
  • Contact information
  • Address or service area
  • Courier services
  • Website domain
  • Company information
  • Enquiry details

Consistency is important because customers and advertising platforms should be able to understand what business is actually providing the advertised service.

Step 7: We Corrected the Identified Issues

After completing the review, we worked through the areas that required correction.

The objective was not to make random changes.

Each change was made based on the findings from the audit.

We worked on the website and advertising setup so that the business information, services, domain and advertising destination were properly aligned.

We also reviewed the overall presentation of the business to make sure customers could clearly understand the service being offered.

Step 8: We Reviewed the Advertising Setup Again

After making the necessary corrections, we performed another review.

We checked

  • Website
  • Landing pages
  • Destination URLs
  • Business information
  • Advertisements
  • Account setup
  • Advertising structure

This second review was important because fixing one issue can sometimes reveal another issue.

We wanted the setup to be as clear and consistent as possible before moving forward.

Step 9: We Worked on the Suspension Appeal

Once the relevant issues had been addressed, the account was ready for the next stage.

The appeal information was prepared based on the actual situation.

We did not use a generic statement such as

"Please remove my suspension."

Instead, the appeal process should explain the relevant facts and the actions taken to address potential issues.

The important principle is simple

Do not provide information that is not true.

An appeal should accurately represent what was reviewed and what was corrected.

The Result

After the account and website issues were addressed and the suspension process was completed, the client's Google Ads account was reinstated.

The business was able to continue advertising its courier services through its website.

The account is now being used to run Google Ads campaigns and generate customer enquiries.

This case demonstrated an important point

A Google Ads suspension should not always be treated as a problem that can be solved by simply creating a new account.

The underlying setup needs to be understood first.

# What We Learned From This Google Ads Suspension Case

This case provided several important lessons.

1. Do Not Immediately Create Another Account

If your Google Ads account is suspended, creating another account may not solve the original problem.

Start by understanding the suspension.

2. Your Website Matters

Google Ads does not operate independently from your website.

The landing page, destination URL, business information and advertised services all form part of the advertising experience.

3. Domain and Business Information Should Be Consistent

Your domain should clearly connect to the business and the website should accurately represent the business operating it.

4. Be Careful With Third-Party Branding

If your business provides services involving other companies or brands, clearly explain the actual relationship.

Do not make your business appear to be an official branch, subsidiary or representative unless that relationship is genuine.

5. Do Not Hide Problems

Trying to hide a policy issue instead of fixing it can create additional problems.

A better approach is to identify the issue and correct it.

6. Appeals Should Be Accurate

A suspension appeal should be based on the actual situation.

Do not make false claims simply because you believe they will improve the chances of reinstatement.

# What Should You Do If Your Google Ads Account Is Suspended?

If your account is suspended, follow a structured process.

First, identify the exact suspension reason.

Then review

  • Google Ads account
  • Website
  • Domain
  • Landing pages
  • Destination URLs
  • Business information
  • Advertiser verification
  • Account history
  • Related accounts
  • Branding and business representation

After identifying potential issues, correct the relevant problems.

Then review everything again before submitting an appeal.

The process can be summarized as

Identify → Audit → Fix → Review → Appeal

# Can Every Suspended Google Ads Account Be Recovered?

No one can honestly guarantee that every suspended Google Ads account will be reinstated.

Google makes the final decision.

Every suspension is different, and the outcome depends on the circumstances of the account and the information available to Google.

What you can control is the quality of your investigation, the accuracy of your information and whether genuine issues have been properly addressed.

# Our Approach to Google Ads Suspension Cases

When we work on a Google Ads suspension case, we do not look only at the campaign dashboard.

We look at the broader setup.

Our review can include

  • Google Ads account
  • Website
  • Domain
  • Landing pages
  • Destination URLs
  • Business information
  • Advertiser verification
  • Account history
  • Website content
  • Business branding
  • Advertising structure

The objective is to understand the potential problem and help the business prepare a cleaner and more accurate advertising setup.

# Final Thoughts

This courier business case was a good example of why Google Ads suspension should be approached systematically.

The solution was not simply to create another account.

We reviewed the website, domain, business information, branding, advertising setup and customer journey, identified areas that needed attention, made the necessary corrections and worked through the suspension process.

The account was eventually reinstated and the business is now able to continue running Google Ads.

If your Google Ads account has been suspended, start with an investigation instead of immediately creating a new account.

Understand the reason.

Review the complete setup.

Fix genuine issues.

Then prepare an accurate appeal.

That is a much more sustainable approach to Google Ads suspension recovery.
